Ms. Sherwood is a member and co-founder of Puglisi & Sherwood, LLC. The firm was established to add an additional dimension to Family Law by providing alternative dispute resolution for families and couples in the process of separation, mediation or divorce. Before joining the firm, Ms. Sherwood was a partner with the law firm of Finnerty & Sherwood, P.C. (1999-2006), practicing primarily in the field of family law, litigation, and mediation.

Ms. Sherwood received her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1981, graduated cum laude and received her B.A. from Douglas College, Rutgers University in 1976.

Having associated with larger firms such as Cole Schotz, Meisel, Forman & Leonard, P.A., Hackensack, New Jersey and Shanley & Fisher, P.C., Newark, New Jersey, Ms. Sherwood has tried to conclusion many complex matrimonial and civil matters. She received extensive training and became qualified as a mediator pursuant to the State of New Jersey, Administrative Offices of the Courts, and had completed all requirements relating to family law matters. Ms. Sherwood has been trained as a Collaborative practitioner, one of the few within the State of New Jersey, which is a growing practice area for her. She contributes her time as a panelist for the MESP Program in Bergen County, as well as serves as Subcommittee Chair for the New Jersey Chapter of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC).

Ms. Sherwood is a member of the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediation (NJAPM), and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP).

Ms. Sherwood has appeared in both New York and New Jersey Family Courts, Surrogate's Courts, New York Supreme Courts, Federal District Court for the District of New Jersey and the New Jersey Superior Courts.
